On the 1st of March 2003 for the first time in Moscow was organized International Moscow Festival "Armenian song". The main tasks of the festival were:

• organization of the new form of concert program,
• the presentation of the performers, famous in Armenia but not famous or less famous in Russia,
• discovery of new prodigies among young performers,
• rewarding particularly talented Armenian performers and figures of musical genre.

And nevertheless, holding the first and second rounds of the festival, we were in searches of original competitive genre. Taking into consideration the remarks and wishes of our audience we decided to change the point of the measure: to organize a contest unlike those, which were realized formerly. The point of the measure must be changed into a fascinating process of musical contest of young performers with a prospect of further development.

Moscow International competition of young perfomers "Armenian song" os an important cultural event both in Russia and in distant and neighbor foreign countries.

The contest of young performers will give an opportunity to see interesting ,talented, bright persons, strong voices and what is not less important the competition will become a good jummping-off place on the way of becoming a variety artist in the world of show-business.

The main goal of the contest is the promotion of peace, unity and rich historical inheritance of Armenia by means of popular music.

After summing up the works of Producing Center during the first year, we singled out a number of best actors, musical producers and representatives of show-business who had already given their agreement on active participation in the given project in the jury’s staff ,on performance for the audience and competitors and so on.
